Carpet Of Leaves On Big Sandy Creek by Dale Kauzlaric -- I stopped at Big Sandy Creek Park northeast of Wausau in Marathon County, Wisconsin. The fall colors have peaked in areas of the county already. However, at the park here, a lot of the leaves are still on the maple trees. But enough of the leaves have fallen and are resting on the rocks in Big Sandy Creek, giving it a look of a carpet of leaves. -- dalekphotography.com
About Dale Kauzlaric
As a Wisconsin-based photographer and having grown up in Vilas County with its over 1,300 lakes, the outdoors runs through my veins. Through the 40 years of chasing images with a camera, landscape photography is my favorite, particularly landscapes with water, any kind of water. Colorful sunrises and sunsets can be captivating. Shooting after the sun goes down can yield amazing images. Waterfowl or other wildlife can provide quite the challenge to get up close in their natural settings. Someone left a comment on one of my sunset images about capturing the colors the master painter provided.
