Description
Green Darner Dragonfly Closeup by Dale Kauzlaric -- This female green darner dragonfly was cooperative and sat on this lilac bush in Marathon County, Wisconsin for a closeup. This is a very large dragonfly and often is migratory. The green darner is identified by the bulls-eye on the head. The detailed structure of a dragonfly's wings, as can be seen here, are an amazing engineering marvel. This dragonfly's transparent wings are in perfect condition. -- dalekphotography.com
