Description
Milkweed Seeds In Pod by Dale Kauzlaric -- As I was hiking, I came across a patch of milkweed plants. In fall, the milkweed pods burst which allows the seeds to catch the wind and disperse. Here the pod has just opened and the seeds have not moved and are all lined up. The milkweed plant is the main host plant for monarch butterflies to lay their eggs on. -- dalekphotography.com

So interesting and miraculous to see how the seedpod grows in a milkweed plant. It is almost mathematical in structure. Such a fine photograph. I recently got a basket of these and dispersed them in the back field hoping they will take just for the monarchs.FAV+/L (Dale thank you again for voting for my self portrait in the J.A. portrait contest)
