Description
Summer Sundown Over Lake Wausau by Dale Kauzlaric -- The clouds were not supposed to thin out until midnight or so on this night. I drove up to Rib Mountain State Park and it was in the clouds and you could barely see Wausau below. So, I went to a local store to see what they had for deals. When I walked out the door, there was the sun in all its glory, a huge glowing orange ball. There was a gap between the clouds and the horizon. It was "Wow", look at that. I scrambled to the truck and drove 10 minutes, to a spot on Lake Wausau, Marathon County, Wisconsin, facing northwest. By the time I got there, the sun had crossed the horizon and set, but there were great colors yet. Here is what it looked like, but it did not last long, 10 minutes and it faded. Sunsets sure are fickle, sometimes they are the best before the sun goes down and sometimes they are the best after the sun goes down. Last night, I missed the best part, but this was still good, enjoy! -- dalekphotography.com
