Buck Moon Reflecting In Lake Wausau by Dale Kauzlaric -- I thoroughly enjoy shooting the full moon. The July full moon is called the buck moon. I went to Bluegill County Park in Wausau, Marathon County, Wisconsin, to capture the buck moon. On this night, it rose about a half an hour after sunset. As it peeks over the black tree silhouettes, it was this reddish orange color. It was reflected beautifully along with a couple of colorful yard lights in the surface of Lake Wausau. -- dalekphotography.com

As a Wisconsin-based photographer and having grown up in Vilas County with its over 1,300 lakes, the outdoors runs through my veins. Through the 40 years of chasing images with a camera, landscape photography is my favorite, particularly landscapes with water, any kind of water. Colorful sunrises and sunsets can be captivating. Shooting after the sun goes down can yield amazing images. Waterfowl or other wildlife can provide quite the challenge to get up close in their natural settings. Someone left a comment on one of my sunset images about capturing the colors the master painter provided.
