Copper Range Locomotive 29 Front Plate BW by Dale Kauzlaric -- Mid-Continent Railway Museum (MCRM) is located in North Freedom, which is located in Sauk County, Wisconsin near Wisconsin Dells. The museum has been operating since 1963. MCRM is an outdoor, living museum and operating railroad. Copper Range #29 was built in 1907 by American Locomotive Company for Copper Range Railroad. Copper Range #29 was in service until 1970. This vintage locomotive eventually made it to the museum in 2004. Here is Copper Range Locomotive #29 front plate shown in black and white. As a Wisconsin-based photographer and having grown up in Vilas County with its over 1,300 lakes, the outdoors runs through my veins. Through the 40 years of chasing images with a camera, landscape photography is my favorite, particularly landscapes with water, any kind of water. Colorful sunrises and sunsets can be captivating. Shooting after the sun goes down can yield amazing images. Waterfowl or other wildlife can provide quite the challenge to get up close in their natural settings. Someone left a comment on one of my sunset images about capturing the colors the master painter provided. I guess that would sum up what I try to do, that is to capture that opportunity that God provides and share it to the best of my ability by telling...
