Eau Claire Dells Snow Covered Island BW by Dale Kauzlaric -- Here is the Eau Claire Dells Park after a fresh snow fall. I got here early, so I would have pristine snow, with no tracks. It was cold at 13 degrees and a 10 mph wind, putting the windchill near zero. I was here by myself for over 2 hours with the park all to myself and all this beauty. As a Wisconsin-based photographer and having grown up in Vilas County with its over 1,300 lakes, the outdoors runs through my veins. Through the 40 years of chasing images with a camera, landscape photography is my favorite, particularly landscapes with water, any kind of water. Colorful sunrises and sunsets can be captivating. Shooting after the sun goes down can yield amazing images. Waterfowl or other wildlife can provide quite the challenge to get up close in their natural settings.
