Pink Sunset Over Schofield Skyline Panoramic by Dale Kauzlaric -- I went and sat on Lake Wausau at Bluegill Park in Wausau, Marathon County, Wisconsin, for the sunset. The clouds in the west were basically nonexistent, but there were clouds hanging around to the south. These clouds were over the City of Schofield. I was hoping the setting sun would do something with these clouds. The wind calmed down and gave me a mirror like reflection. As the sunset progressed, the pink in the south turned this vivid. This was the look at the skyline over Schofield and Lake Wausau, shown in a panoramic format. -- dalekphotography.com
As a Wisconsin-based photographer and having grown up in Vilas County with its over 1,300 lakes, the outdoors runs through my veins. Through the 40 years of chasing images with a camera, landscape photography is my favorite, particularly landscapes with water, any kind of water. Colorful sunrises and sunsets can be captivating. Shooting after the sun goes down can yield amazing images. Waterfowl or other wildlife can provide quite the challenge to get up close in their natural settings. Someone left a comment on one of my sunset images about capturing the colors the master painter provided. I guess that would sum up what I try to do, that is to capture that opportunity that God provides and share it to the best of my ability by telling...
