Description
Fallen Leaves On The Ice Age Trail by Dale Kauzlaric -- Here the fallen leaves on the Ice Age Trail located near Wausau, in Marathon County, Wisconsin, cover it like a carpet.
When the glaciers retreated from the last Ice Age, they left behind beauty across the State of Wisconsin. The Ice Age Trail is one of only eleven National Scenic Trails and is located entirely within Wisconsin. The trail will be 1,200 miles long, located within 31 counties and completely constructed by volunteers. The Trail is not yet finished. Most of the trail is a footpath through woods. Some segments, however, lead hikers down main streets of Wisconsin communities. The Trail occasionally follows state bike trails, too. More than 1 million people use the Ice Age Trail each year. -- dalekphotography.com
