Description
The Trumpeter Swan Chase by Dale Kauzlaric -- I went to the Mead Wildlife Area located near Mosinee in Marathon County, Wisconsin, to see what waterfowl were in the area with the spring migration in full swing. There was only one trumpeter swan that I could see on the pond I was on. I thought that was a little odd, as I was always seeing two. I thought maybe one was on the nest already. After about an hour, a single trumpeter swan flew in and landed near the swan already on the pond. In no time, a second swam came out of the cattails. The two resident swans began chasing the new swan off their pond and they meant business. Here is the start of the chase. -- dalekphotography.com

Dale, Oh my "birds", are these birds angry, I hope they are just having fun, but in any case this is spectacular motion photography, so well arranged on a moments notice!!! :D L/F

Thank you, Mary, no fun here, It was all business, the resident male swan chasing the interloper off the pond and matter of fact, bit him twice in the air.
