Trumpeter Swan Balanced Landing by Dale Kauzlaric -- I went to the Mead Wildlife Area located near Mosinee in Marathon County, Wisconsin, to see if the trumpeter swans might be in the same spot I found them earlier in the week. They were on the same flowage and there were 13 of them. Most of them were in pairs. I walked about 100 yards past a pair and sat down on a rock. Within 30 minutes, I had half a dozen of them close to me. After awhile, a lone swan flew in, showing its balanced landing. -- dalekphotography.com
